All Members,

Following on from a number of Committee meetings and the EGM called on the 1st August the Hampshire Riders Club will change its format with immediate effect.

Since the Club was formed back in 2001, we have general been well supported with an active membership. However this has changed in the last couple of years with less and less attending the organised events. It was felt from the meeting that the days of a true organised club have passed and a far more informal set up is required.

As a result, the HRC website will continue as a forum for the members to publish any rideouts, get togethers etc. that they are organizing, attending etc. This will be undertaken by Karen and will continue until the current club funds are exhausted - estimated to be 2009. No membership fees will be charged, and no "new" members recruited.

There will be no formal Committee. However Mandy (Secretary), Jennie (Treasurer), Karen (Web Coordinator) and myself (Chairman) will remain in their current positions to administer the funds and accounts, which as always are available to any subscribing member as of August 2007 for inspection. If the members wish to change this position and revert to the regular meetings and full membership, then the full current committee will resume with an EGM and new appointments as required.

The marked Club orange bibs will be distributed to the members who were present at the last meeting at the earliest opportunity. The unlogo'd ones will be sold by Chris and the monies added to the funds.

Communication will be via the web and individuals contacting each other. It has been proposed that the final membership list is circulated. As such can each member please contact me via e-mail or in writing giving permission for this to take place (data protection etc. requires this).

The last six years have been great fun and we will all have happy memories. I want to personally take this opportunity to thank everybody for there help and support but in particular the following people, past and present, who without giving up the time and serving on the committee, HRC would not have achieved what we have:
